Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of editorial services by Canzobytex Inc. to its clients. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

In brief:
  • 40% deposit required to start work.
  • 2 rounds of revisions included per project.
  • Full copyright transfers to the client upon final payment.
  • B2B payments are due within 30 days.

1. Subject of Agreement

Canzobytex Inc. provides professional editorial services, including website copywriting, corporate stories, editing, and localization. The specific scope of work is defined in the individual project brief or order confirmation. All services are delivered digitally via DOCX or Google Docs.

2. Ordering and Booking

An order is considered confirmed once the client provides a completed brief and pays the required deposit. We reserve the right to refuse any project that falls outside our expertise or violates our internal policies, such as requests for academic fraud or political campaigning.

3. Pricing and Taxes

All prices listed on our services page are inclusive of 13% VAT (GST/HST), unless otherwise specified. For clients outside Canada, taxes may vary based on local legislation. Prices are calculated based on word count, hourly rates, or monthly packages as defined in the passport of services.

4. Payment Terms and Deposits

To initiate work, a deposit of 40% of the total project value is mandatory. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the final draft. For B2B clients, the payment term is 30 days from the date of the final invoice. Urgent requests are subject to a 50% surcharge on the total price.

5. Revisions and Delivery

The standard delivery period is 7 days from the date of deposit and brief approval. Each project includes 2 rounds of revisions. Additional revisions will be billed at the standard hourly editing rate. Requests for revisions must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the draft.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Clients may cancel an order after the brief is accepted, but the deposit remains non-refundable to cover the initial research and planning phase. If Canzobytex Inc. cancels a project, the deposit is returned in full. Please refer to our Privacy Policy regarding data handling upon cancellation.

7. Intellectual Property

Upon full and final payment of the invoice, all exclusive rights to the final text are transferred to the client. Canzobytex Inc. retains the right to include the work in its professional portfolio unless a non-disclosure agreement is signed. We guarantee that the texts are original and do not infringe on third-party copyrights.

8. Liability and Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada, including the Consumer Protection Act and the Competition Act. Any disputes shall be settled in the courts of Montreal. For privacy concerns, the supervisory authority is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC), 30 Victoria Street, Gatineau QC K1A 1H3.

Canzobytex Inc. is not liable for damages resulting from the client's failure to provide accurate information in the brief or for the misuse of the delivered content.
