Accessibility Statement

Canzobytex Inc. is committed to ensuring that our digital services are accessible to everyone, regardless of physical or cognitive ability. We believe that professional editorial services should be reachable by all users.

In brief:
  • We strive for WCAG 2.2 AA compliance.
  • Keyboard navigation and screen reader support are prioritized.
  • We provide a direct channel for accessibility feedback.
  • Our site respects system-level reduced motion settings.

1. Compliance Status

The Canzobytex website is designed to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and the principles of the European Accessibility Act. We are currently in a state of partial compliance. While the core structure and navigation meet the required standards, we continuously audit our content to eliminate barriers.

2. Implemented Measures

To ensure a seamless experience for all users, we have implemented the following technical solutions:

  • Keyboard Access: All interactive elements, including the language switcher and navigation menus, are fully reachable via the Tab key.
  • Visual Contrast: We use a high-contrast dark theme that meets WCAG AA requirements for text readability.
  • Navigation Aids: A skip-link is provided at the top of every page to allow screen reader users to bypass the header and go directly to the main content.
  • Semantic HTML: We use a strict heading hierarchy (h1-h4) and ARIA labels to ensure assistive technologies can parse the page structure.
  • Reduced Motion: Our CSS includes a prefers-reduced-motion query that disables all non-essential animations for users with vestibular disorders.
  • Alternative Text: All illustrative photos include descriptive alt-text to convey the scene to visually impaired users.

3. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some limitations may persist. Some complex data tables in our services hub may be challenging to navigate with certain legacy screen readers. We are working on optimizing these structures to ensure full compatibility across all devices.

4. Feedback and Contact

If you encounter any accessibility barriers on our site, please contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 24 hours, as specified in our general business rules.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) at 30 Victoria Street, Gatineau QC K1A 1H3.

5. Legal Framework

This statement is governed by the laws of Canada, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). For details on how we handle user data during accessibility requests, please refer to our Privacy Policy. Any legal disputes regarding the accessibility of our digital services shall be settled in the courts of Montreal.
